Heirloom wooden Recipe box (Base price shown)

You can design your own box from this app that will calculate the cost of the options you choose. These wood recipe boxes (starting size is for 4" of 3x5" cards) can be adorned with any design or text. Feel free to email me at Glenn@TreeToBox.com. I will be glad to work with your design or help you find a design that suits your needs. These are custom one of a kind boxes, made one at a time.

After order is placed I will provide a 3D sketch with all the options you chose to confirm design. These are all custom, and anything is possible.

Box shown holds 6 inches of 4" x 6" recipe cards. My original box construction design. Inner/outer box construction with overlapping lid closure. One piece of white oak, cut into 30 total pieces. All sides around box are made with same piece of wood, make the grain flow all around box sides. All vertical edges are double butt joints (no visual joints to distract view of the viewer's eye). Continuous wooden hinge made from the same wood as the box. Much more appealing to the viewer's eye, and after you are done, you can say that you made the whole box without buying a metal hinge that someone else made and may distract from the box you made.

Colonial maple stain, added to help hummingbirds standout. By hand I Woodburned the hand drawn hummingbird sketch on the inside lid  (Same person who wrote the recipe)

Wooden Recipe card was made of 3/16” White Oak plywood with laminated oak edges. Handwritten Recipe was translated to one color in Corel Draw format and provided to laser engraver.
